Welcome to Actually Just a Hat. By purchasing from this shop, you agree to the following terms, conditions, and policies. These exist to protect both you (the customer) and me (the maker). Please read carefully before placing your order.

🪡 Handmade, One-of-One Products

  • Every hat is handmade from recycled textiles, primarily cotton T-shirts and other natural fabrics.
  • To the best of my knowledge, all hats are created from 100% natural materials (cotton, silk, linen, etc.). However, because the hats are made from recycled scraps — including some fabric donated by my grandmother — there may occasionally be a small percentage of spandex or other synthetic fiber in the brim or trim.
  • Each hat is unique. Variations in weight, texture, stretch, or shape are expected and intentional. These variations are not considered defects and are part of what makes your hat one-of-one.

🚚 Shipping Policy

  • Processing time: Orders are typically processed within [X business days].
  • Carrier delays: Once handed to the shipping carrier, I cannot guarantee delivery timelines.
  • Lost/damaged items: I am not responsible for packages lost, delayed, or damaged in transit once they are with the carrier.


🔄 Returns & Exchanges

  • I accept returns and exchanges within 30 days of delivery.
  • To be eligible:

    • Item must be unworn, unused, and in its original condition.

    • You must contact me at [your email address] within 30 days of delivery to start the process.
  • How it works:

    • You ship the hat back at your own expense.

    • Once received and inspected, I will send you a replacement hat of your choice free of charge (no additional shipping cost from me to you).
  • If the item arrives to you damaged in transit, please contact me within 7 days with photos, and I will help troubleshoot.


🚫 Issue-Prevention Disclaimers

  • Allergy Disclaimer: State hats are made from recycled materials, and though washed/cleaned, you cannot guarantee they’re free from allergens.
  • International Shipping Note (if you offer it): Customs fees, taxes, or delays are the buyer’s responsibility.
  • Copyright Protection: Clear reminder that your designs are protected from imitation.


🔐 Privacy Policy

Your personal information (name, address, email, etc.) is collected only for the purpose of fulfilling your order.

• I do not sell or share your information with third parties.

• Payments are processed securely through trusted platforms such as Shopify, PayPal, or Stripe.

⚖️ Limitation of Liability

By purchasing, you agree that:

  • Actually Just a Hat is not responsible for any discomfort, allergic reactions, or injury resulting from wearing the hat.
  • You are responsible for proper care and use of the product.
  • Natural imperfections in recycled fabrics are not grounds for a claim of defect.
